New Moon Set Visit - Day one Hitfix

This is a great read but just in case SPOILER ALERT! Here is a small part of the article. To read the rest go here.

It was Thursday, May 7 and after arriving at the Vancouver studio for an afternoon "New Moon" visit, we entered the soundstage and immediately found one of the key scenes in the movie unfolding before us. While the interior of the set was completely closed off, the monitors revealed Edward (Pattinson), Bella (Stewart) Jane (Dakota Fanning), Alec ("Birth's" Cameron Bright) and Aro (Michael Sheen) acting out the first meeting between our human hero and those pesky Italian Volturi.

In almost completely black suit, with the only color on him coming froma gold necklace and with slicked back hair, Sheen deliciously pronounces, "Let's see if she's immune to all of us. Shall we Jane?"

A much more detailed description of the Volturi's hall will come in a few paragraphs, but it's not dark and dreary as you'd expect a vampire headquarters to be. As director Chris Weitz noted in an interview earlier this week, "The first thing I wanted to do was put them in a setting that wasn't Dracula's castle. I feel like that's been done. Instead, their headquarters is surprisingly light and crisp. And the characters that they play have a kind of a tactile reality to them in spite of how bizarre their situation is really."

R.Pattz vs. Taylor! Who's a Better Ladies' Man?

Eonline's own Ted Casablanca from the awful truth has a new poll who is better with the ladies Rob or Taylor.

Thought we weren't going to get it on the Team Jacob vs. Team Edward action? Yeah friggin' right! Welcome to battle of the studs—round four.
With Comic-Con next week, we're superhyped right now on Twi hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, but what gets us even more excited is the bevy of babes these two supposedly have in their...arms.
So who is the better romancer? Rob's turned the heads of Hollywood's elite like Natalie Portman, not to mention certain costars like Nikki Reed and (way more importantly) Kristen Stewart. On the other hand, Taylor flies more under the radar, opting for cuddly fun with perky Selena Gomez or unknown brunettes.
Which style do you prefer?

Inside infor on Robert Pattinson from the Remember Me Set

According to the Examiner they have heard from an inside souce who works at the Plaza Hotel, where Robert has been filming. Here is what was said:

"Both trailers for Robert and Pierce were right outside my work so I got a front row seat of all the goings on. They had to set up baracades across the street because so many teenage girls and their mothers were gathering. No fans were allowed in the hotel. They have a huge security team now for both stars but NO ONE cares about Pierce. He was walking across the street to his trailer and no one was taking pics or anything, he even tripped on the curb and no one noticed. Robert has a way bigger entourage. His crew are really rude to fans and kept pointing to Pierce's trailer when they were asking where Robert was. I tried asking 2 of them if I could get an autograph and they basically laughed in my face. Anytime Robert wasn't filming he was immediately taken back to his trailer. At the end of the day Robert was being ushered past my store and I just stepped up to him to ask for his autograph and he was really sweet and said "of course," but his security was not pleased with me. Earlier in the day an over-zealous fan rushed up to him in the hotel and grabbed his arm yelling and freaking out. Security had to push her back and she made a huge scene."

I feel sorry for the truck driver being yelled by a crowd of girls. They are nuts! LOL!

Riley has been found!

An unknown Australian actor named Xavier Samuel has landed the first new role in "Eclipse," the third "Twilight" pic. According to the Hollywood Reporter Summit has hired the actor to play the role of a “newborn vampire” named Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart). Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness.

"Eclipse," the third book in Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster series, is set to begin shooting next month in Vancouver and be released on June 30. David Slade ("30 Days of Night"") is directing from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

So what do you think? Does he look like Riley to you?

Update: This has not yet been confirmed by Summit officially. Pure speculation.

15 things learned about R.Pattz on New Moon set

Hollywood has an article about the 15 things they learned about Robert Pattinson on the 'New Moon' set.

1. Robert Pattinson is a sugar hound. There was a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups wrapper on the seat of Pattinson’s on-set chair and a can of Coke on the armrest. I toyed with the idea of stealing the items for some cash on eBay, but both were gone the next time I walked by. Did he finish them? Throw the rest away? We’ll never know. I drew the line at digging through his garbage.

2. Like the rest of the cast, Pattinson’s canvas director’s chair had his character’s name (that would be “Edward Cullen”) embroidered on the backrest. On Robert’s chair, however, “Edward Cullen” was covered with yellow tape, on which “ROBERT” was written in bold black marker. Seems our fantasy boy likes to keep things "real."

3. I watched Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Robert film a scene in the Volturri lair. During this dramatic play-by-play, Robert wears an ankle-length maroon cloak very bathrobe in its design. It appeared to be velvet, but I couldn’t get close enough to touch him. It. I mean it.

4. Edward’s presence in the novel as a disembodied voice in Bella’s head clearly wouldn’t do for fans hungry for some larger-than-life RPattz on the big screen. The filmmakers recognized that a largely Pattinson-less New Moon would do little to satisfy fans; therefore, Edward appears to Bella in vision form. Sexy, sexy vision form.

5. Shooting these vision scenes required a massive (think warehouse-wall-sized) green screen and a camera on tracks that slowly zoomed in towards our boy. I got to watch Robert film one of these apparitions, and while he didn’t actually utter any lines, he did display a series of intense facial expressions. He also sported a very dapper gray suit.

New Moon Director Chris Weitz Spills

Rotten Tomatoes has a great article on Chris Weitz regarding New Moon, Eclipse, the soundtrack, the proposal scene and whether Breaking Dawn is doable.

When Rotten Tomatoes visited the Vancouver set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon in May with an exclusive group of online outlets, director Chris Weitz was wrapping up key scenes before production crossed the Atlantic to film for five days in Montepulciano, Italy. There, the medieval hillside town would stand in for the city of Volterra, home of the ancient Volturi vampires in Stephenie Meyer's novel, as filming concluded with the book's final set piece.

Here are some of the questions they asked:

Weitz has brought aboard familiar collaborators to work on New Moon, including Oscar-nominated composer Alexandre Desplat (who scored Weitz's The Golden Compass). But will Desplat carry over the fan-favorite "Bella's Lullaby" theme composed by Twilight scorer Carter Burwell, played famously by Edward in the first film?

"Alexandre Desplat has just started working on his music for the film, and we are just starting to put together what bands are on the soundtrack, so it's kind of like keeping ten plates spinning at once," Weitz said. "But it's all good, because we've got Alexandre Desplat, who I think is one of the greatest film composers living, and because of the strength of the franchise that I inherited, a lot of bands are really interested in working on the soundtrack."

When asked about "Bella's Lullaby," Weitz confirmed that it would reappear -- at least, in some form. "I think yes, because like any franchise, there are certain themes that become familiar. I suspect he's going to transpose it in some manner, and most of the music will be entirely new to the franchise because his style is somewhat different from Carter Burwell's. But I think that there is some value to having some kind of familiar leitmotifs running through the entire series."

Speaking about the music in New Moon, Weitz revealed that requests have flooded in from bands who want to contribute to the soundtrack; after all, the first Twilight film helped launch alt-rock band Paramour into the pop culture stratosphere. In talks to appear on the soundtrack are none other than Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Kings of Leon.

"Fortunately, I'm not at the stage where I have to turn anybody down yet, because everything is still kind of up in the air," Weitz shared, "but I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they're interested. It's kind of great. The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested; we might, if we're very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something... it's exciting to be able to have access to this kind of talent."

Kellan Lutz's 'Generation Kill' nominated for Emmys

Guess who we are going to be seeing in a tux maybe? Kellan Lutz thats who! Right before Kellan began filming for Twilight, he filmed an HBO series entitled Generation Kill. That series has been nominated for an Emmy in the category of "Miniseries" alongside Little Dorrit. He appeared in all seven episodes.
Generation Kill has been said to be "both ambitious and rife with a casualness of daily war routines that lulls the viewer into the story line. It tells a big story through myriad small characters (defined well enough to be enriching, not just paper cutouts)."

L.A. Times has a new New Moon Photo

Reporting from Vancouver, Canada -- Robert Pattinson is having an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment. Inside a soundstage where "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is shooting, the lanky English heartthrob stands in front of a tall, wide green screen murmuring a tender admonition, "You promised me nothing reckless." Motion capture cameras hurtle toward him across a length of track affixed to the stage floor, while a team of technicians studies his stance and the tilt of his head. The plan is to digitally insert Pattinson, who plays swoony good guy vampire Edward Cullen, into a scene that was filmed much earlier -- one in which he appears as a spectral vision to his costar, Kristen Stewart, cautioning her headstrong character, Bella Swan, against hanging out with some unsavory-looking biker types. For the effect to work, Pattinson's image will need to be dropped in at exactly the right position, so despite the cast and crew nearing the end of a very long early May day, perfectionism is still the standard.

I think I know where this picture is from...after the cliff diving scene when Jacob takes Bella home. Eeep! I'm getting excited.

Rob doesn't tip like a movie star?

According to OK magazine. Which is not really a reliable source states he is not a good tiper since he is now a "rich movie star". Here is what they had to say:

Earlier this week, the Twilight hottie and some pals spent $350 on dinner in a fancy restaurant — but only dropped a $50 tip!

The casually dressed party laughed and joked at the table until nearly midnight. “They were the last diners to leave,” says one observer. The restaurant even comped a round of prosecco for the table.

But when it came time to pay, the group left a tip of only $50, just shy of the standard 15%, and way shy of what you’d expect the star of the most anticipated movie of the year to pay.

I'm not a very good tipper myself but I don't think just because you are according to the "rich and famous" you have to tip a large amount of money. What do you think? Do you think he should have tiped a larger amount ala Johnny Depp?

Behind the Scenes of New Moon

The Sun Sentinel has a great article about the behind the scenes of New Moon. The Sun Sentinel's Gina McIntyre got the chance to go behind the scenes and got to speak with Chris Weitz and Taylor Lautner. Also get a bit of info on Breaking Dawn.

McIntyre also spoke with director Chris Weitz about his hopes for New Moon coming off of a dismal reception for his work in The Golden Compass. About The Golden Compass, McIntyre reveals, "'It's one of the great sadnesses of my life that it didn't turn out the way I intended it,' [Weitz] says. 'New Moon,' a story about surviving the ultimate heartbreak and loss, is Weitz's chance to heal his wounds and find a new creative path."

Taylor Lautner in Interview Magazine

So here you go Team Jacob fans. Here is a video of Taylor Lautner. Dont get used to this I'm Team Edward all the way but decided to post this just for fun.

MARTIN: So what’s in store for Jacob?

LAUTNER: He’s a lot different than he was before. He transforms mid-story—in the first half, he’s Twilight Jacob. I’m wearing a wig. My character’s very clumsy, outgoing, and friendly. When he transforms into a werewolf, he becomes something very different. It’s like I’m playing a split personality. Which is tricky, because sometimes I’ve had to play pre- and post-transformation Jacob on the same day of filming.
