'New Moon' Exclusive: Chris Weitz Reveals 10 Secrets in the Film!

Director Chris Weitz has a list of 10 things from New Moon you may have missed.

These first 5 are from EW:
1. Hidden wolves
"Look for an upside-down engraving of wolf in the shot of the bowl in which Carlisle burns his first-aid equipment; on Jacob's T-shirt when he meets Bella in the school parking lot for the first time; and a wolf trinket on the dream-catcher that he gives her."
2. Vampire Elevator Music
"When Edward, Bella, and Alice get into the elevator on their way to see the Volturi, The music playing in the elevator is from Strauss' Die Fledermaus (a.k.a. The Bat)."
3. Emotional baggage?
"When Bella is looking for the meadow where she and Edward are seen lying down together, she carries a golden compass clipped to her backpack - part of my baggage!"
4. Speedy Suitor
"We did a little trick when Edward gets out of Bella's truck and they're arguing. We wanted to show Edward moving impossibly quickly, so we put Rob right next to the camera but out of sight, and used a double dressed like Rob in the driver's seat. When Edward gets out, it's the double, and then Rob steps in front of the camera, and it looks as if he got there faster than humanly possible."
5. Look it up
"And last but not least: If you want to know what Jacob says before he almost kisses Bella, ask a Quileute! The address of the Quileute tribal council is quileutenation.org. I can tell you this much: He says, Kwop kilawtley."

The next 5 are from the Twilight Tracker App

1. You can see Volterra's tower and the red-cloaked revelers from the festival of San Marco on the cover of Bella's copy of Romeo and Juliet when she wakes up in her bedroom.

2. In the wolf-fight, we purposely knocked over the camera when the wolves tumble towards it; you can also hear the microphone thumping, as if an actual on-set animal had run into the camera and boom.

3. Quileute culture
"When prepping to visualize Jacobs and Emily's houses, production designer David Brisbin and his team visited La Push and met the Quileute executive council. While they were there, a young Quileute girl gave David the first drum she made (this is a Quileute custom). To show appreciation, we decided to put the drum in a prominent shot - it's at the entrance of Emily's house, and you see it when Bella first enters. Also the high pitched "call" that Embry and Jared give when they jump out of Bella's truck is a thing the Quileute kids do."

4. The reason the moon phases "backwards" to reveal the title is that this is scientifically correct! I moderated an astrophysics seminar for the Science and Entertainment Exchange with noted astronomer Neil DeGrasse Tyson and he complained about the number of films that get simple science wrong. (Don't ask me to justify vampires or werewolves)

5. In the Volturi chamber, Aro speaks Italian - "La Tua Cantante" should be easy for readers of the books - he's referring to Bella's being Edward's "singer", whose blood calls out to him stronger than anyone else's. Later, when Bella tells him that he doesn't know anything about Edward's soul, he replies, "Fore...ne il vostro l'uno o altro" - "Perhaps...nor yours either."

First Teaser for The Runaways featuring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning

So...what do you think about the first teaser? Are you excited? I'm pretty sure that is Kristen singing Cherry Bomb and she sounds fantastic!

'New Moon' Could Still Win The Oscar

According to E! Online, the academy may not have thought much of New Moon's Jacob-to-wolf transformation, but apparently the moody music did it for 'em.

Lykke Li's "Possibility," off the Twilight sequel's soundtrack, is one of 63 tunes in the running for a nomination for Best Original Song for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in March.

The up-and-coming Li could be sharing the stage with anyone from Bono to Miley Cyrus to Ne-Yo - or perhaps, Paul McCartney - depending on how it all plays out.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are Time's 'People Who Mattered' in 2009

Rob and Kristen are in Time Magazine's list of "People Who Mattered" in 2009. Here is what Time had to say about the two:

It's been at least a decade since we had a pair of authentic, shriek-inducing, catch-me-when-I-faint teen idols on our hands. But suddenly, OMG, they're back. What makes the stars of the Twilight series so idolizable? It's partly that ineffable combination of dirtiness and innocence: they're sexy, but they're not sexual. They're also not generically beautiful. God knows they're hot enough, but they look interesting too. Intelligent. Slightly askew. You don't just want to look at them or sleep with them; you want to talk to them. Like the vampire Pattinson plays onscreen, you can see that once upon a time they were merely human, just like us.

I totally agree with what they have to say about them. There is a draw to them that you can't describe. Kristen is very smart and I think I would be very intimidated in talking to her but I would love to know what she had to say about a few things. Rob may be shy but I love that about him. He looks very genuine and smart. I think he would be fun to be around.

What is your reason for liking Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, or both?

Ashley Greene shares her own Fairytale Prom Story in TeenPROM

Just last month, Ashley Greene was out celebrating her sultry Maxim cover, now she's back on the newsstands, with a glammed up look for TeenPROM 2010.

The "New Moon" star is gracing the cover of the magazine in an elegant purple dress with a bow and embroidery in the front, for a feature story spotlighting her role as spokesperson for DonateMyDress.org, a charity which distributes used prom dresses to underprivileged teens. In the issue, Ashley shares her prom story and dishes out some good advice for the big night. Of course, she also manages to sneak in a few "Twilight" bits.

The actress, who is no doubt busy prepping to reprise her role as Alice Cullen in "Eclipse," the next installment in the "Twilight" series, got involved with DonateMyDress.org because of her own experience trying to save up for prom.

"I bought my dress and I pretty much paid for everything because my parents really didn’t have the money to pay for something like that. I worked for it, so I think it meant that much more to me because I had to save up," she tells Prom2010.

In the end, Ashley put together enough to buy a fitted full-length dress with bronze and gold sequins and a plunging neckline (her mom made her cover-up with a shawl). She has since donated the dress to the charity. "I had my prom dress forever until I became a part of the charity and donated it," says Ashley. "It’s amazing to see girls’ faces light up [when given a dress]. It’s really fun because I get to interact with these girls and share the experience with them."

As for her big night, Ashley says it turned out perfect. "I went with my high school sweetheart and had a blast. I had that fairytale prom everyone talks about. It’s something I’ll remember forever."

Now, Ashley's hoping to help other young girls have their fairytale night with some choice words of advice. "Definitely plan ahead because the actual day can be kind of stressful. Planning everything out helps a lot," she says, adding that its also a good idea to pick out a dress you can easily dance and move around in.

Most importantly though, Ashley says it's key to stay true to your personal style when picking out a dress and makeup — even if you're tempted to go overboard. "Be yourself and don’t overdo it. People have a lot of anticipation for an event like prom and end up overdoing it or wearing too much makeup. Really make sure you are comfortable because then you’ll feel beautiful, instead of going overboard and asking yourself, ‘Oh my gosh, what did I do?’"

While charity work seems to be top on the 22-year-old actress' priority list lately (she recently filmed a PSA to fight global poverty), Ashley also manages to dish some details on what it was like to shoot "New Moon". "With 'Twilight', I was just so nervous and new. I didn’t know what to expect," Ashley tells the magazine. "With 'New Moon', we had [already] portrayed these characters and the fans responded to the movie and loved it.

"Also, Alice’s part became more pivotal. I got to do some action, and basically guided Bella through the whole second half of the film. I was so thankful that it happened in the second movie because I’m not sure I could have handled it in the first one."

One of the things she helped guide Bella through in the first movie? Getting ready for prom, of course! We've got a feeling Ash didn't need much direction when it came to filming that scene...

What do you think of Ashley's TeenPROM cover and inside pics?

Kellan Lutz to be the New Calvin Klein Underwear Ad Campaign Spokesmodel

While Taylor Lautner is in discussions to front the next range of Armani underwear ads, the heartthrob’s Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz has reportedly been tapped to strip down to his skivves for a collection from designer competitor Calvin Klein.

The chiseled hunk has been signed to a modeling contract with CK and will be featured in series of ads patterned after the groundbreaking Mark Wahlberg/Kate Moss campaign of 1992.

“The executives have a plan to model the ads very similarly after the famous Mark Wahlberg campaign in the 90’s. They want to recreate the look of the hugely successful ads, and who is better than Kellan Lutz to fill out those little underwear?”

Robert Pattinson to be in Vogue Magazine?

Rob was spotted today at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art according to E! Online. Here is what was said:

We know exactly where Robert Pattinson was today.

Across the street from our offices—at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art!

But he wasn't exactly checking out any exhibits…

Sources tell us that hottie R.Pattz and his stunning Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin were there being photographed at the museum (aka LACMA) for Vogue magazine.

I'm told editors at the fashion bible are planning a multipage spread of the twosome for the mag's annual Power Issue that rolls off the presses just in time for Remember Me's March 12 release date.

"The theme is a date at LACMA," one source says.

Photographer Norman Jean Roy is said to have shot them in several spots throughout the museum, including interior and exterior setups. "It's kind of edgy in a Vogue way," the source says. "Emilie is wearing high fashion but it's like sort of tattered-looking. Rob is mainly in suits."

Pattinson arrived at about 9 a.m. before the museum opened. But it's not like art lovers—or Twi-hards—were going to get a good look at him during the day anyway. Locations were blocked off with blue tarps and surrounded by security guards.

So I guess we all will be waiting for that to come out soon.

Kristen Stewart Voted as #7 on MTV's list of Woman of 2009

Ashley Greene in Teen Prom Magazine

ET exclusively went behind the scenes of Ashley Greene's photo shoot for Teen Prom magazine, where the actress (a.k.a. vamp Alice Cullen) dished about her rigorous fight and stunt training for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'

"I was excited about the photo shoot. I wasn't too nervous, I've been in a prom dress before," said 22-year-old Ashley, looking glamorous in a strapless, floor-length purple gown.
"I'm trying to convince them to let me take the dress so I can go out in it," she giggled, "but I don't think it's going to happen."

Ashley, whose Teen Prom issue hits newsstands Dec. 22, also showed off a bruise on her arm (rendered practically invisible with makeup) that she sustained while training for the eagerly awaited third 'Twilight' film, 'Eclipse.'

"Until I had to shoot in prom dresses, I didn't get any bruises. I was doing really well," she smiled. "It's horrible, but it's been really fun. [Our moves] will look really, really good by the time we finally get to the fight sequence because in 'Eclipse' ... we have to fight this new-born vampire army."

She adds that her training involves "a lot of learning to run and jump off walls and land on people's shoulders, and flips and throwing your body just ways that you would never, under any circumstance, normally do."

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' arrives on the big screen June 30, 2010. Meanwhile, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' is in theaters now.

Ashley's Teen Prom cover dress will be donated to DonateMyDress.org, which collects gently-worn prom dresses and donates them to girls in need.

Taylor Lautner on SNL Team Edward vs. Team Jacob

This is so funny! You just have to watch.

'New Moon' Opens Doors For Ashley Greene

USA Today has an article about Ashley Greene. Here is a bit from the article:

New Moon star Ashley Greene is still getting a grip on her rise to fame — but with a full slate of upcoming projects, she's making sure her career extends beyond vampires and werewolves.

"Instantly we have this fan base, instantly we have these careers and people know who we are," says the actress, 22, who likened the rush to "instant happiness. ... People now actually care about what projects I'm in."

That darker side includes Alice as well. "In (Twilight), you see that quality about Alice that makes her so lovable is she's so positive and upbeat. In (New Moon), you see how she takes these uncomfortable situations and she's sassy and she brings light to a dark scene," Greene says. "In (Eclipse), you get to see a little bit of a darker side when her family is in danger. You get to see once again that she is an animal and she's not human."

As for adding non-vampire films to her résumé, Greene will be at Sundance in January for the premiere ofSkateland. "The fact that we're going to Sundance is a validity factor for an actor doing something you're passionate about."
